The LAB200-TRAVEL is the ideal solution for those who need a versatile, compact, and easily transportable laboratory filterpress.
Designed to operate in confined spaces or in settings where frequent relocation of the equipment is required, this unit combines efficiency, robustness, and maneuverability in a design optimized down to the smallest detail.
Thanks to its lightweight and compact structure, the LAB200-TRAVEL can be easily moved by up to two operators, without the need for lifting equipment or trolleys. This makes it perfect for use in pilot laboratories, R&D departments, or industrial plants where testing is carried out in multiple work areas.
One series, three versions to suit every need
The LAB200-TRAVEL series includes three sub-versions, each tailored to different technical and operational requirements:
LAB200-TRAVEL/COMPACT – The most essential model, designed for maximum lightness and ease of use.
LAB200-TRAVEL/FULL – A complete version with additional features for more complex applications or demanding samples.
LAB200-TRAVEL/OMNIA – The most versatile and configurable variant, ideal for those requiring maximum flexibility and high performance.
Each version maintains the safety, reliability, and precision standards that define all of our laboratory filterpresses.
This is the simplest and most economical version of the entire range of laboratory filter presses built by Autemi.
The name “LAB200-TRAVEL” comes from the fact that the unit is compact and lightweight and is designed to be transported.
It is the ideal solution when the equipment needs to be easily and quickly transported to the site where dehydration tests are to be carried out.
In fact, this compact and lightweight unit makes it possible to carry out all the essential tests to evaluate the dewatering of the sludge or product to be filtered.
It can be supplied with a maximum of n°5 installed recessed plates.
In this version, only standard filtration with recessed plates can be performed, is not possible to run filtration with membrane squeezing system or run other auxiliary function like cake blowing, core blow, etc…
This is an entry-level model for standard filtration only.
The unit consists of two counterplates that compress the filter plates inside which precisely pressure filtration takes place.
The maximum filtration pressure is 15 bar.
The counterplates that hold the filter plates together during filtration are bound together by 4 threaded connections that must be unfastened to allow extraction of the dewatered cake.
This solution minimizes the footprint of the filter unit, which proves to be an ideal solution for transportation or for installation in very tight spaces.
The conformation of the filter plate is the same as that found on large industrial filter presses, so it is possible to perform reliable analysis in terms of real dewatering. In its standard configuration, it is supplied without a feed pump, making it ideal for simple applications or for integration into existing setups.
Upon request, it can be combined with:
A fully manual feed pump – DEDRA.M model, which does not require any electrical or pneumatic power supply and operates solely through the manual force of the operator.
A pneumatic feed pump – HORUS model , which requires a compressed air supply provided by the user.
This model is perfect for those seeking maximum portability, independence from utilities, and ease of use in laboratory or on-site testing environments.
The LAB200-TRAVEL/FULL series is a natural extension of the previous series that allows even the most demanding customer to have a compact but complete equipment to perform all filtration processes.
This series combines the functionality of a small, complete solid-liquid separation equipment with the small dimensions that are characteristic of the series.
Normally this product is used more for laboratory testing and research and development departments that want to know and optimize all filtration parameters.
A maximum of 5 filter plates can be mounted in this series (they can be all 5 recessed plates, or 3 recessed plates and 2 membrane plates).
In fact, the LAB200-TRAVEL/FULL filter press provides the possibility of being able to take advantage of membrane squeezing, as the high-pressure generation system is installed, which allows the unit to reach a maximum squeezing pressure of 15 bar.
There is a 2:1 ratio pressure multiplier; all that needs to be done is to connect the unit to mains compressed air (6 or 7 bar is recommended).
Connecting this unit to compressed air will in fact supply the entire distribution system that generates both the pressure for pressing and the pressure to supply the pneumatic piston pump.
It is then possible in this unit, to perform Core-Blow and Cake-Blow, so you have the possibility to vary all the filtration parameters to find the best filtration recipe.
The only step which is not possible to perform with this unit is the Cake-Wash.
This unit is also easy to transport because has a base dimension of 60cmx65cm and an hegith of 62cm.
Two operator are enough to carry on this unit and place it on a desk or in a car.
The LAB200-TRAVEL/OMNIA represents the highest expression of our compact laboratory filterpress range. Designed for those who need maximum flexibility and full control over the filtration process, this model integrates all the core features of the TRAVEL series and adds further capabilities, making it an extremely powerful and complete mobile solution.
What sets the OMNIA version apart is the presence of a second pneumatic piston pump, in addition to the one already included in the LAB200-TRAVEL/FULL model. This second pump dramatically increases the versatility of the unit, as it enables dedicated functions such as cake washing and complete flushing of the piping system. These additional steps are essential when simulating complex industrial processes or when working with products that require clean separation stages and thorough post-filtration rinsing.
With the LAB200-TRAVEL/OMNIA, users can carry out full filtration cycles — including feeding, squeezing, washing, and cleaning — all within a single, compact, and transportable unit. It’s the ideal solution for laboratories, pilot plants, or mobile test facilities where space is limited but process accuracy is critical.
In its standard configuration, the unit comes equipped with a set of 5 recessed plates and 2 membrane squeezing plates, allowing the user to test both traditional and more advanced filtration cycles. The maximum number of plates that can be installed is 5, so the user can freely choose between:
A complete pack of recessed plates for basic solid-liquid separation, or
A mixed pack with recessed and membrane plates to simulate high-efficiency industrial cycles with membrane squeezing phases.
Thanks to its advanced features, compact footprint, and easy transportability, the OMNIA version is particularly suitable for:
Research centers and universities conducting comparative process studies
Engineering companies that need a portable test rig to validate process conditions at client sites
Industrial labs working with demanding slurries or processes that involve multiple phases
In summary, the LAB200-TRAVEL/OMNIA is not just a laboratory filterpress — it is a fully equipped mobile filtration platform, capable of adapting to a wide range of applications while maintaining high standards of precision, safety, and ease of use.
To carry out filtration tests directly at the installation site on which you want to conduct the tests, you must of course provide a pressure supply of the fluid or sludge you want to test inside the filter press itself.
This task requires a pump that is capable of applying a pressure of at least 12 to 15 bar for the filtration process to take place properly and for the cake to form correctly.
To do this, we have developed a hand pump that is based on the design features that can be found on industrial piston pumps.
The advantage of this pump is that, being manual, it does not require precisely any kind of external power supply, neither pneumatic nor electric.
This is a major advantage when no external power source is available at the installation site.
In addition, due to its small weight and size, it can be easily and quickly transported to the site where filtration tests need to be performed.
At the same time it is perfect for those laboratory installations where installation space is limited.
The advantage of not requiring any kind of power supply makes it ideal to be used anywhere in combination with the LAB200-TRAVEL transportable pilot filter press.
In all those cases where quick filtration tests need to be carried out, even in very remote, poorly serviced and hard-to-reach locations, the LAB200-TRAVEL filter press and DEDRA.M manual piston pump combo is the best solution to obtain valid dewatering results for sludge or industrial liquids.
HORUS is a pneumatic piston pump specifically developed for the feeding of laboratory filterpresses. Compact, reliable, and easy to integrate, it provides a powerful and efficient solution for managing the filtration cycle with precision and repeatability.
Capable of reaching a maximum feed pressure of 15 bar and delivering an initial flow rate of up to 300 liters per hour, HORUS is perfectly suited for a wide range of laboratory-scale applications.
Being a pneumatically operated pump, it features variable flow behavior:
During the initial phase, it supplies the maximum available flow, allowing the filterpress to fill rapidly.
As the filtration progresses and resistance builds, the pump automatically reduces its flow rate, gradually approaching zero as the filterpress chamber becomes fully saturated.
This self-regulating mechanism ensures optimal filtration performance, significantly improving the dryness of the final cake while minimizing energy and media waste.
One of the key advantages of HORUS is the easy adjustment of the maximum operating pressure. The pump body is equipped with a dedicated control knob, allowing the operator to set the desired pressure limit quickly and intuitively, without the need for complex configurations or tools.
Unlike manual pumps, HORUS requires no operator effort during operation. It is the ideal solution in all environments where compressed air at 6 bar is available, and where consistency and automation are priorities.
Key benefits:
Specifically designed for laboratory filterpress applications
Self-regulating flow based on backpressure
Easy manual adjustment of maximum pressure via control knob
Maximum feed pressure: 15 bar
Initial flow rate: up to 300 L/h
Requires 6 bar compressed air supply
